The High Elves and Lizardmen seek to stabilize the Vortex, while the Skaven and Dark Elves. Just keep them away from enemy ranged, because ap ranged like handgunners can make short work of them. The four main playable factions respond to this in different ways. Gyros are going to be the closest you'll get to having cavalry, and brimstone gyros can actually be pretty decent in that role as long as you play them ranged cav. The problem with their playstyle is that this basically surrenders the battlefield initiative to the enemy, so you can run into issues when a highly mobile army like the Wood Elves starts flanking around your sides or harassing your ranged from behind. ![]() everything, and their playstyle really encourages you to sit still and absorb what the enemy can dish out. Ikit should be fun, but Skaven mechanics suck, food mechanic is that good while under-empire mechanic really bad. I love Wood Elves campaign, Orion and Sisters are fun. Couple that with how most of their units get charge def. Plus, they dont need to expand the same way a lot of other factions do so doing things like raising Norsca or Badlands captures the thematic 'Crusade' feel. The Dwarfs army is pretty well rounded.ĭwarfs main weakness is they have absolutely no mobility outside of gyrocopters and overall they get terrible charge bonuses on anything that isn't a Slayer.
